Spend a full day immersed in one of Africa’s most legendary wildlife destinations, Kruger National Park. With over 2 million hectares of untamed bush, Kruger is home to an astonishing variety of wildlife, including the Big 5, over 500 bird species, and countless other natural wonders.
Your adventure begins early in the morning with departure from a designated collection point in Hoedspruit. If you’d prefer to be collected directly from your accommodation, please contact the Matumi Team ahead of time to make arrangements.
Traveling in an open safari vehicle, you’ll be guided by one of our expert, accredited nature guides who knows Kruger’s roads, waterholes, and wildlife hotspots like the back of their hand. As the bush awakens, you’ll have prime opportunities to spot lions on the move, elephants grazing, or leopards lounging in the trees.
Throughout the day, we’ll explore diverse ecosystems across the park, stopping at rest camps for comfort breaks and meals. You’ll enjoy a picnic breakfast in the bush and have the option to purchase lunch at one of Kruger’s scenic rest stops (meals not included unless otherwise specified).
This full-day safari offers an unmatched opportunity to witness Africa’s iconic wildlife and raw beauty at your own pace, without the rush, and with plenty of time to explore the magic of Kruger.

Something to consider when choosing a safari is the impact your choice can have on the environment.
Matumi Destinations’ vehicles are designed to comfortably seat up to ten guests per safari. What is important to note is that by choosing this as an option it means less vehicle traffic per guest group, which then has a far lighter footprint per person entering the park. This has positive benefits at sightings, on the animals themselves and on the National Park infrastructure. The Panorama Route is a spectacular journey through one of the most unique and beautiful areas of Southern Africa. There are multiple cultural and natural points of interest located along the route. One can expect to visit places such as Bourkes Luck Potholes, Lisbon Falls, Berlin Falls and Gods Window. During the journey, guests will learn about the rich history associated with the area and get to appreciate the magnificent sites that this route offers.
Guests will be collected at the departure time and spend most of the day exploring this incredible area. For this activity, guests will be in an air- conditioned vehicle for their comfort. A lunch stop during the route will take place at another famous landmark called Harries Pancakes (they offer a variety of options on their menu). The Panorama Route is a must for anyone visiting the area!
